Diagonal size is not enough. Compare the actual screen area and physical proportions before choosing a Pro Max, Ultra, XL or compact model.
Phone screen size FAQ
What is the most common phone screen size?
Most current phones sit between 6.1 and 6.9 inches. Standard phones usually fall around 6.1 to 6.3 inches, while Plus, Pro Max, Ultra and XL models often land between 6.7 and 6.9 inches.
Is screen size enough to judge phone comfort?
No. Diagonal screen size misses body width, weight, thickness and aspect ratio. A narrow 6.7-inch phone can feel easier to hold than a wider phone with a similar diagonal.
Which phones are easiest to use one-handed?
Phones with body widths around 72mm or less are usually easier for one-handed use. Compact iPhones, base Galaxy S models and non-XL Pixel models tend to be more manageable than Pro Max, Ultra and XL phones.
